What would your life look like if you were 100% successful?
I know people struggle with this issue - I hear it all the time - they want success - but don’t know exactly what that means to them. Worse, if they think they know what it means, they don’t know how to go about getting it for themselves without neglecting some of the important areas of their lives.
I would like you to join me when my friend James Arthur Ray discusses a fresh, new way to discover, create and maintain wealth in your life.
Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch, who is dying from pancreatic cancer, gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving talk, “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams,” Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals. You are responsible for you. What do I mean? Simple.
You may not be where you want to be in life. You may be. Either way, you are responsible for where you are. The decisions you made are your decisions. You may feel trapped. You feel that way because of the decisions you made to get there. You may feel you’re in a helpless situation. You feel that way because of the decisions you made. You will continue to feel that way if you decide to stay where you are.
Have you ever wondered why some people are able to develop a grandiose theme for life or relay a huge plan for achieving an incredible and even envious lifestyle?
Note : They have developed this plan and theme in their mind. They have not accomplished it themselves. . .yet.
Then you have others who seem to be able to complete anything you set in front of them. They can take a set of instructions and work until it’s completed with perfection. This person will do whatever it takes to follow the instructions, even if it takes months.
“When you have come to the edge of all that you know and are about to step off into the darkness, faith is knowing one of two things will happen: there will be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught to fly.” – Richard Bach
It’s pretty normal for all of us to feel hesitant when we want to try something new. The underlying fear of failure is crippling. There are some who even fear of getting what they want and finding out that it’s not really as great as they dreamed it to be.
